Am Wochenende fand ich den Tiefen einiger Kisten Relikte aus alten Zeiten. Die Contax hat mich trotz ihrem manuellem Filmtransport immerhin durch 3 Semester Grundlagen Fotografie gebracht. Das war ein ganz schöner Kampf. Zu Beginn mußten wir ein kleines Büchlein über einen Fotografen gestalten. Ich wählte André Kertész, ein mir bis dahin unbekannter Fotograf. Zufällig gibt es im Gropius Bau zur Zeit eine Retrospektive über ihn zu sehen. Am Samstag war ich da und sah nahezu alle Bilder im Original, die ich vor genau 10 Jahren für das Büchlein scannte. Großartig. Und nebenbei fiel mir auf Kertész hatte Ähnlichkeit mit Daniel Craig.
ps: zurück aus dem Urlaub versuche ich dem Alltag ein Schnippchen zu schlagen.

This sunday I found my old camera in a corner of a box with odds and ends. She took me through 3 semesters photography during university. At the beginning we had to write and design a little book about a photographer and I chose André Kertész. He was totally unknown to me, but while working on the book I realized I made a good choice. This saturday I went to see the grand retrospective of his work shown in Martin Gropius Bau in Berlin at the moment. And I saw all the pictures that I’ve scanned for the book 10 years ago in real. So great. And by the way I noticed Kertész looked like Daniel Craig.
I am back from holiday but it’s hard to get back on track.
