Im Januar hatte ich die Möglichkeit Oryanne und Raphael bei ihrer Einladungskarte zu unterstützen und das war ein sehr schönes Projekt. Die beiden wünschten sich eine Karte mit „handmade“ Charakter und fanden – beide sehr an Typographie interessiert – das Fehlen von Hochzeitsgrafiken in meiner Klischee-Ansammlung alles andere als tragisch. Im Gegenteil. Und ich find es super. Die beiden sind Franzosen und leben in Berlin, heiraten aber in: Paris. Oh la la. So schön! Merci beaucoup et bon marriage!!!

It was a pleasure to me printing these wedding cards for a lovely french couple. Oryanne and Raphael wanted a handmade card for their special day, so we met in my studio to arrange their individual layout. They both are interested in typography, so the lack of wedding blocks in my collection wasn’t a big problem. I am really happy with the design and the typeface they chose for the „Ja“. It is an old typeface from 1927, used for advertising. They both live in Berlin, but will get married in Paris. C’est merveilleux, n’est-ce pas? Bon marriage!
